Indus and NRX software partnership enhances Indus' work management functionality

Improved access to accurate parts data and equipment documentation on the plant floor speeds up response to work requests

ATLANTA and TORONTO, CANADA, August 27, 2002 - Indus International Inc. (NASDAQ: IINT), the leading global supplier of enterprise asset management software and services, and NRX Global Corp. (LSE;AIM:NRX), a provider of equipment information management solutions, today announced that the companies have signed a software partnership agreement. As part of the agreement, customers may use the IndusBuyDemand product line to integrate to NRX's Visual Plant System (VPSTM) equipment information repository. The delivery of VPS with Indus' enterprise asset management (EAM) solutions will greatly increase employee productivity and expedite the procurement process by enabling fast, accurate response to maintenance work requests through improved access to technical equipment documentation and parts catalogs.

"NRX's Visual Plant System will allow our users to view asset data in an easy-to-understand graphical format and greatly simplify access to reliable parts data and equipment documentation," said Tom Madison, chairman and CEO of Indus International. "Easy access to reliable data through VPS' scalable, Web-based architecture and flexible integration framework will allow our users to make better real-time decisions that reduce costs and improve efficiency and productivity, optimizing maintenance, inventory and materials management."

The software partnership will enable NRX and Indus to provide their joint customer base with seamless integration of their critical parts and equipment information and maintenance management applications. Extended functionality will enable Indus users to "fast track" identification of parts using VPS' visual "asset-based" navigation. Within VPS, users will be able to query their EAM system for available inventory of parts and seamlessly enter parts information into their Materials Request page.

"Experience has shown that access to accurate equipment information is a key enabler to helping companies maximize the cost and efficiency benefits of EAM initiatives," said NRX CEO Paul Gray. "VPS' robust equipment information management capabilities include specialized software and methodology for the audit, collection, digital conversion and viewing of technical equipment data and documentation. VPS is a turnkey solution for establishing the data foundation essential to supporting maintenance best practices and efficient workflow management."

Indus and NRX will participate in joint sales and marketing activities to promote solution benefits to their existing industrial customer base. Joint product development initiatives will ensure seamless interoperability of the Indus and NRX solutions.

The enhanced usability and data integrity provided by this joint solution will also enable accelerated ROI, allowing customers to further invest in Indus' Solution Series, which includes the integration components of IndusBuyDemand, Indus' award-winning e-procurement solution. These benefits, combined with visual parts content and workflow integration, could improve adoption of the Indus Solution Series in a shop environment, resulting in increased utilization of both Indus' and NRX's families of solutions throughout the enterprise and into new industrial markets.
